Studying at a prestigious IIT is like a dream come true for many students. IIT Kharagpur has been ranked 5th and 6th by the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2024 under the Engineering and Overall category, respectively. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is also ranked 4th by India Today 2024 under the Engineering (Government), and Engineering categories. The placements offered to students are very good. Hence, students don't feel regretful about studying at this college.

Direct admissions are not possible for courses offered at IIT Kharagpur. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Advanced, JEE Main, and others. The latest cutoff regarding M.Tech in Infrastructure Design and Management offered by IIT Kharagpur for 2024 has yet to come out.
