Yours 12th marks will not matter in your admission, if you secured a good rank in NEET. All eligible candidates of NEET can get admission in MBBS course if they obtained good ranks and scores in NEET exam. So, admission in medical courses are purely based on NEET score/Ranks.

Job satisfaction, appreciation and fame will surely make you feel good, but that inexplicable void would still be felt if you don't earn good money for all the effort. Interior Designing is a well-paid line of work that brings in the rewards if there is an elite quality of work.
The minimum average salary of an Interior Designer ranges between Rs. 3-4 lakhs per annum. Experience Interior Designers can earn as much as 25 lakhs per annum depending on the project or firm they work for.

I don't know about cut-off, but I'd suggest not to take B.Sc in mass communication in St. Xaviers, because I am currently a student of Media Science and a former Xaviers student suggested me not to go for it, because it is not good and less importance is being given in college about this course.

Maybe, you can take papers like EVS as subject combination with Geography which helps you to even have a deeper understanding.
