Hi.

  • LIT accepts JEE Main (or equivalent) plus state‑level counselling for regular admissions.
  • But LIT also allows direct admission / management‑quota / merit‑quota seats — especially when seats remain vacant after regular counselling.
  • For direct admission under this quota, often the basic requirement is having passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math) as applicable, rather than a high JEE Main rank.

For the BTech course, the LUEE exam is a must at Lucknow University. This is the university's own entrance exam for enrolling students in different courses. The admission exam is held annually. Moreover, Lucknow University is one of the recognised government universities, which doesn't guarantee admission to the students without having valid scores in the accepted entrance exam.

No, direct admission to the MBA course at Lucknow University is not possible. To enrol in the course, candidates are obliged to appear and achieve an acceptable score in LUMET, which is one of the university-level management entrance tests. Candidates should know that they cannot appear in the LUMET directly; they should follow the minimum eligibility requirements first, which require candidates' complete their graduation in any stream with an aggregate of acceptable scores.

At BBAU Lucknow, undergraduate and postgraduate courses have an entrance based admission process. The university accepts CUET UG scores for UG courses and CUET PG scores for PG courses. Additionally, Class 12 score of the candidates is also considered for granting them admission to the university. The university releases multiple cutoffs for each program, and the cutoff varies for each category of candidates. Candidates must check the BBAU Lucknow cutoff on the official website of the university.
