Subjects included in the first semester of MBA courses at IIM Nagpur are a combination of elective and core subjects. In the first year, the students are provided exposure to core management subjects. In the second year of study, students have to choose an elective. According to last year's 2024 Jee Mains cutoffs for OBC category for Mechanical Engineering at COEP Pune was 97.81 percentile whereas for general category candidates the cutoffs for Mechanical Engineering it ranged from 98.71 to 99 percentile. To secure a seat for admission into COEP Pune through JEE Mains you'll need to score 97-98 percentile even if you are from SC category and home state Maharashtra. Whereas, for general category candidates it's more competitive. The cutoffs are very high. Thr general category students must score 98-99 percentile in JEE Mains for admission. The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants seeking admission in Executive PGDM do not require passing an entrance test. The selection is based on performance of the candidates in the personal interview round. For MBA courses, candidates do need to pass SNAP. Selected candidates have to futher pass GEPI round for final admission.

SIBM Pune offers admission to candidates in MBA programmes based on their SNAP scores. Shortlisted aspirants have to further pass GEPI round for final selection. Besides, admission to Executive PGDM programme is based on performance of the candidates in the personal interview round. Once all the selection rounds are over, the institute releases a merit list. However, the institute has specified a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12. Candidates with 45% or more have a pretty good chance at getting into the university.
