Yes, NEET UG is compulsory for admission to every MBBS college in Maharashtra, whether government or private. There is no alternate entrance route for MBBS admission anywhere in India. After qualifying NEET, students need to go through either the All India Quota counselling or the Maharashtra state counselling process. Without a valid NEET score, admission to any recognised MBBS college is not possible.

AFMC Pune is considered one of the most competitive medical colleges in Maharashtra, with NEET cutoff ranks around 622 to 700 for general category students. It is a government-run institute affiliated with the Armed Forces, offering unique benefits like a stipend during the course and guaranteed job placement after graduation. This combination of low fees and assured career makes it extremely competitive. Students need a very high NEET score to secure a seat here.
