The colleges affiliated to Mumbai University allows admission via MHTCET exam. Candidates were allowed to participate in the counselling process based on their scores in the MHTCET exam. To appear in the exam, candidates must have passed Class 12 or the equivalent examination from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates appearing Class 12 board exam in 2024 are also eligible to appear for the exam. But, there is no specific percentage criteria based on which students can be allowed to appear in the exam and get admission into Mumbai University.

The affiliated courses to Mumbai University accepts MHT CET exam. To get into the colleges, the Mumbai University cutoff 2024 for the CSE course stood at 27.66 for the General AI category candidates. Similarly, for the Information Technology course, the MHT CET cutoff stood between 2.47 and 95.27. Moreover, BE in Aritificial Intelligence cutoff stood at 68.94 for the General AI quota.
