IIT Bombay offers an MBA course through the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score can fill out the IIT Bombay MBA application form online (som.iitb.ac.in). After registration, login with the credentials, i.e., login ID and password. Further, fill out the application and upload the important documents. The form is then successfully submitted after payment of INR 1,600 as the application fee.

Yes, IIT Bombay offers a four-year BTech in eight specialisations. Admission to these programmes is based on merit in JEE Advanced. Only the students who pass JEE main can take the advanced exam. The aspirants who furher meet the cutoff criteria can participate in JoSAA counselling.

The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. In addition, the Office of the Dean Alumni & Corporate Relations manages the Named scholarship endowed by the alumni of the Institute and other wellwishers. After the completion of the application process and entrance exams, candidates are shortlisted based on the following criteria for each course:

  • For BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech, BTech-MTech (Dual Degree) and BSc courses.
  • Admission to MTech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling.
  • MSc course selection is through IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling.
