Somaiya Vidyavihar University is a good university. The university's colleges are ranked under various categories such as the K J Somaiya Institute of Management is ranked 45 by NIRF 2023 under the Management category,  K J Somaiya College of Engineering is ranked three in West Zone by The Times of India 2023, and others. To get admission to this high ranked university, candidates must clear the entrance exams. If applying through CAT, candidates must attempt as many CAT mock tests as possible and attempt as many CAT question papers as possible.
