It is difficult to say whether getting into MPSTME Mumbai is tough or easy and will depend on the:
- Candidate's level of preparation
- Competition
- Available seats
- Personal motivation
As well as a number of other factors that will not be discussed here. But admissions to the different courses at the institute will depend on entrance exam scores such as NMIMS-CET for BTech.

The Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering in Mumbai has been recognised by national bodies such as the University Grants Commission, All India Council of Technical Education, NBA, etc. as well as receiving an NAAC grade of A++ which it shares with the larger NMIMS Deemed to be University Mumbai.
