Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for Executive MBA at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management. Candidates must take the TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET), a required entrance exam for all MA programs, in order to be admitted to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) MA program. Shortlisted candidates receive invitations to the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds after meeting TISSNET qualification requirements. Having a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for reserved categories) is a requirement for eligibility. To be admitted to the intended MA programme at TISS, applicants must successfully complete these steps.

Candidates are first required to apply for KJ Somaiya Institute of Management admissions. The institute considers Management entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. for MBA and Executive MBA programmes. For MCA, candidates must pass PERA CET or MAH MCA CET or CUET-PG for admissions. The institute also considers other parameters such as academic performance, PI, WAT, etc. for final selection.
