This minimum cut-off for SAKEC is different depending on the programs and the categories. For Computer Engineering the previous year's cutoff including MHT-CET for general students falls between 92-95 percentiles while for Information Technology it is 90-93 percentiles. On average, JEE Main cutoffs begin at the 70 percentile for offering admissions into top branches. Cut-off marks for the other reserved categories may be slightly lower based on the annual performance trends and the number of seats.

Students are not directly admitted to SAKEC because admissions to this college are based on the MHT – CET entrance test or JEE Main, by the centralized admission process of Maharashtra State. But few seats are available under management quota in each college and it usually ranges from 15 to 20 per cent of the total admission capacity. Management quota fee structure differs and general requirements for reservation of seats include minimum academic performance.

Unlike some schools, SAKEC does not have a scholarship that covers 100% of students' fees but offers merit and or need-based scholarships. Some of them are: concessional fellowships/scholarships for all the reserved category and economically backward students 50%- 100% of the tuition fees as per the merit cum means criteria. However, SAKEC also gives institutional scholarships to the brightest students in which the amount granted is mostly partial fee remission rather than full fee exemption.
