National Institute of Securities Markets has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| Certificate | Graduate Students or those pursuing post graduation degree from any recognised University/Institute are eligible. |
| PG Diploma | Candidate having Post Graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a University recognised by UGCare also eligible.Candidate must have passed minimum 2 years of full time work experience or minimum 2 years of full time work experience or Has completed at least intermediate level or 2nd Level, of any of the professional qualifications like CA, CMA, CS, or CFA (offered by the CFA Institute). Admission is based on Test/ GD/ Essay writing, interview and Counselling. |
| LL.M. | Candidates completed the mentioned course with mentioned marks from any recognised institute/university are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing/awaiting results qualifying examination in May/June 2021 can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate who have passed bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline of minimum three years duration with mentioned marks or 45% for reserved category from a university recognised by UGC or equivalent. Applicants in the last year of their bachelor's degree programme and awaiting their final results can also apply. |

| B.A. | Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. |
| B.Sc. | Candidates who have passed Diploma (Three years after S.S.C. - X Std.) in Information Technology/ Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/Mechanical and Allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) degree Program. However, the Diploma should be recognised by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognised Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. OR Candidates with post HSC-Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognised by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognised Government Body Minimum Marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. |
| B.Com | A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three-year degree Program leading to the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any other Board. |
| B.Voc | A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three-year degree Program leading to the Bachelor of Vocation of Travel Tourism Management must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any other Board. |
| BBM/BMS | Diploma in any Engineering branch with two/three years duration, after S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, or its equivalent examination from other Boards by securing minimum 45% marks for general category (in one attempt) at the respective examination and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt). |
| BBA | Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. |
| M.Sc. | Provided further the candidates hold a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying Degree of BSc/ BCA/ B.Tech./B.E./ BA/ BAF/ BMS/ BBA/ BFM/ BBI/ BCom or equivalent will be eligible for this programme provided he/she has scored not less than 60% in aggregate at the other threshold Examinations of Standard X and Standard XII.*Note:Candidates from the SC / ST Category will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in respect of the above requirement. Candidates, who are in the Final Year of their Degree Program, are also eligible to apply provided that their admission will be subject to the condition that they appear and pass in the final examination with a minimum of 46 credits or its equivalent (i.e, the minimum credits required for majoring in a subject, and excluding the credits for optional courses) in the subject and complete other academic requirements as specified above. |
