Direct admission to the College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar for the first-year B.Tech programme is normally not possible due to the merit-based selection process. Prospective students are normally required to pass state-level admission exams such as the Odisha Joint admission Examination (OJEE) or other recognised competitive tests. Admission is determined on the candidate performance in these exams, and seats are assigned using a centralized counseling process. Diploma holders may have lateral entrance alternatives but they must also meet particular qualifying standards.

No, The private institution Utkal Aerospace and Engineering operates from Bhubaneswar under Kohinoor Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. The institution is DGCA approved under the Government of India to deliver Aircraft Maintenance Engineering courses. Given its recognition in the aviation industry the college remains private and independently operated. The institute attracts aviation students who want technical education through its specialised training programs and practical industry knowledge.

No, it is not mandatory for students to give entrance exams for admission to MSW colleges in Orissa. Most students are accepted based on merit. However, some colleges accept the scores of exams like Orissa SAMS. Students should familiarize themselves with the admission process of the colleges they wish to apply to and check the admission criteria for MSW course aspirants.
