Direct admission to the College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar for the first-year B.Tech programme is normally not possible due to the merit-based selection process. Prospective students are normally required to pass state-level admission exams such as the Odisha Joint admission Examination (OJEE) or other recognised competitive tests. Admission is determined on the candidate performance in these exams, and seats are assigned using a centralized counseling process. Diploma holders may have lateral entrance alternatives but they must also meet particular qualifying standards.
