You can expect a seat in Thapar University. It will be bit difficult as 79.2 percentile might be on lower side considering a fight for CSE branch. Eligibility in Thapar University for B.Tech is at least 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB. You can check the below link as well for other institutes you can expect based on your score: -

They both are the same course. Thapar Institute in patiala calls it Computer Engineering while the Derabassi campus calls it Computer Science and Engineering.

It would be difficult with that rank to get into Computer Engineering Branch in Thapar, but if you decide to change your branch, you can get a seat.

You don't have to worry much about the packages after coming to Thapar. Campus placements are very good as compared to other colleges that you can get with same rank.

Yes, you can get a seat by a good percentage in +2 as 30% seats are filled just by the boards percentage.

Hi nitesh,
As you have scored 91.07 in JEE mains exam 2019, so you are eligible to participate in the counselling process. But getting computer science engineering will be difficult in first round. Although I will suggest you to participate in the counselling process wisely and smartly and wait till the last round of the counselling process.
Best of luck.
