NIT Patna cutoff 2025 for the SC AI category ranged from 147 in the first round to 208843 in the last round for admission to various BTech and Integrated BTech. MTech and BArch courses.
On the other hand, NIT Patna JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the SC HS quota varied between 365 and 192695. Students can refer to the table below to know the last round cutoff for various courses for both the SC All India and SC Home State quota.

The IIT Patna PhD course fees is yet to be revealed for the academic year 2026. On the website of IIT Patna, the PhD course fees has been mentioned between INR 1.29 Lacs - INR 1.89 Lacs for the first year.
Thus, candidates can expect the current year fees to be around the same figures.

Only the candidates who are applying under the employed category are required to present work experience during IIT Patna PhD admissions. However, there is no requirement of work experience in the other categories of PhD courses offered by IIT Patna.

Yes, IIT Patna does offer financial support to its PhD students. However, candidates of the self-financed category of PhD courses are not offered any financial assistance at IIT Patna.
PhD students can receive financial under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme, Reimbursement of Rent (RoR), Research Contingency grant and ther schemes at IIT Patna.

Yes, candidates belonging to the special category are offered several fee relaxations for the IIT Patna PhD courses. The most notable relaxation includes a complete waiver of tuition fees for the whole duration of the IIT Patna PhD course.
Other fee relaxation include a 50% reduction in application fees at the time of admissions.

For the purpose of completing the IIT Patna PhD admission process, candidate need to bring physical copies of the below mentioned documents at the time of personal interview round:
- Class 10th and Class 12th passing certificate and marksheets
- Graduation degree
- Post graduation degree
- Work experience ertificate (if available)
- No Objection Certificate (if required)
- Sponsorship certificate/ Relieving letter (in case of full-time sponsored/ full-time working candidates)
- Medical certificate (in case of full-time candidates)
- ID and address proof
- Passport sized photographs

The last date to apply for the July session of IIT Patna PhD admissions was March 4th 2026. Candidates who have appeared for the UGC NET before or are qualified for direct PhD admissions can apply for the IIT Patna PhD admissions.

No, the IIT Patna PhD admissions are no longer open for the January session in 2026. The last date to apply for IIT Patna PhD's January admissions was October 22nd 2025. Candidates who missed this application window can still apply for the July session which are currently open.
