For NIT Goa M.Tech admission, candidates must have passed graduated from a recognised university with a Bachelor's in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ MSc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE, etc.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale) and 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PWD. For more information related to NIT Goa M.Tech selection criteria, application process, etc., click here.

For the National Institute of Technology Goa BTech admission, candidates are required to pass Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as an optional subject with a minimum aggregate of 75%. Apart from the minimum eligibility criteria, NIT Goa also considers the JEE Main score to admit students to its BTech course.

NIT Goa offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. NIT Goa BTech admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. The JoSAA counselling begins in September. There will be 6 rounds of seat allotment.

National Institute of Technology Goa is a public/government college which was established in 2010. National Institute of Technology Goa is ranked 90 by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) for BTech. Being a public/government college, the fee is not very high but even if the students find the fee a little high, they can apply for the scholarships offered by the National Institute of Technology Goa.

NIT Goa admission is primarily entrance-based. Students are selected on the basis of various national-level entrance tests, like JEE Main, GATE, etc. The final Selection for the BTech programme is based on the allocation of seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. Follow the steps given belolw to apply for admission to various courses:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NIT Goa.

Step 2: Click on the Apply Now tab.

Step 3: Select the course.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and fill out the application form.

Yes, NIT Goa offers scholarships to postgraduate, PhD, and undergraduate students. These scholarships are meant to act as financial assistance for students. The college offers Shraman Foundation Scholarships for financially underprivileged students first and second-year of BTech students. Shraman Foundation Scholarships are offered to eligible students with a poor socio-economic background and with a family income of INR 2.50 LPA or less. NIT Goa is an autonomous college and is functioning under the aegis of the MoE, Government of India. NIT Goa was established by an act of parliament - NIT Act 2007 in 2010 and is known as an Institute of National Importance.
