Yes, Pondicherry University offers a three-year MCA programme spread over six semesters. The course is available at the Department of Computer Science of the Puducherry campus and at the Department of Computer Science of the Karaikal campus of Pondicherry University. A total of 125 seats are available combined at both campuses out of which 75 are available at the Puducherry campus while the remaining 50 are offered at the Karaikal campus.

PhD application fee for the General category students is INR 1,000. For SC and ST students, the application fee is INR 500. Students should pay the application fee online while registering for the course. Additionally, PH and transgender students are exempted from paying the application fee. SC and ST category students are required to submit a relevant certificate and PH & transgender candidates are required to submit a relevant certificate from a Govt. Medical Officer to avail the application fee exemption.

Admission to all distance education programmes of Pondicherry University is done on the basis of merit scores in the last qualifying exam. While the UG students get admission on the basis of their Class 12 scores, PG aspirants of distance learning at Pondicherry University are offered admission subject to their merit at the UG level. Admissions to distance learning courses are offered twice a year – Jan to Mar and then from Jul to Aug. Those meeting the course-wise eligibility can secure admission to this university.

However, the final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in the CUET PG entrance test conducted by NTA. Pondicherry University offers a five-year Integrated MA programme across four specialisations, namely History, Political Science, Sociology and Social & Economic Administration and Law (SEAL). Candidates seeking admission to the Integrated MA programmes of Pondicherry University must have completed their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
