JVWU admissions are offered through four modes. One is through direct admission based on the merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. Others is via University Entrance cum Scholarship Exam (JNEE) or scholarship exam. Aspirants can also get admission via Management Quota. Candidates applying via Management Quota are evaluated based on their past academic records.

The application fee is INR 1,000 and INR 3,000 for research courses. Candidates may apply for one or more programmes by submitting separate application form along with the registration fee. Aspirants can pay the application fee via any of the online payment modes or through DD or in Cheque/ Cash.

The tuition fee for BCom at both the open universities is INR 7,700. Moreover, BRAOU has got 3.9/5 rating on Shiksha, while VMOU has 3.4/5. The fee is the same at both the open universities. Students can consider exam location and more details to make a decision. The aforementioned fee is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

For admission to BSc at both the open universities is merit-based. To be eligible for the course, aspirants only need to be Class 12 or equivalent pass from a recognised board. 

VMOU is recognised and accredited by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Additionally, BRAOU Hyderabad courses are by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), UGC, New Delhi.

Moreover, the total tuition fee for BSc at BRAOU is INR 7,700 and range between INR 20,000 and INR 3 lakh for VMOU. Aspirants can consider these factors to make a decision.
