Kazan State Medical University is public university funded by Russian government. The university of founded some 200 years ago by the command of Emperor Alexander I to establish a university in Kazan in 1804. The KSMU is medical university that operates under self-governance and is part of the Higher Education and Scientific Research system of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The university was granted license number 16 G-235 on March 6, 1994, by the state.

Yes, Kazan State Medical University offer accommodations to Indian students. But the housing options are limited and international students have to live with domestic students in dormitories. However, the living conditions are rather Spartan: two or three persons to a room, eight rooms on each floor, one kitchen, two toilets, shower in the basement. International students are not given the option to select their rooms.

To get admission into Kazan State Medical Universtiy, international students are required to meet all minimum admission requirements. So, international students should check minimum admission requirements for their programme before applyin to KSMU. General admission requirements for international students to get into Kazan Medical University are mentioned below-

Yes, all the programs offered by Kazan State Medical University are accredited and recognised by the Russian government. It has also been recognized by the Ministry of Healthcare and Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The university is government funded. KSMU is recognised by the following bodies:

- MCI (Medical Council of India)

You need to be careful in choosing the University as some of the low-cost universities are bilingual even though they are in MCI list. Support for English medium is till 3rd year though it is not informed by some consultancies. You can go through the link. All the best!
