Candidates without NCHMCT JEE can be admitted to IHM Gangtok's courses. Mainly, the rank and grades earned in the NCHMCT JEE determines the admission to the BSc programme. Unless the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) offers a particular pathway or conversion course, a sociology honours graduate with a BE (Bachelor of Engineering) degree is probably not directly eligible for an M.Sc. (Master of Science) programme in Hotel Management or any related field.  A bachelor's degree in a related field, like hospitality and hotel administration, is required for the majority of IHM M.Sc. programs.
