Over 2,500 Universities are ranked by ARWU every year. In the ARWU ranking, the University of Edinburgh ranks at #37 in 2025, which is an improvement by 3 spots from the year 2024, as this ranking was #40. Times Higher Education rankings are fluctuating since 2022.

Yes, the University of Liverpool UK permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work for unlimited hours.
