International applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate that they have a satisfactory level of English language to be eligible to study at the University of Chester. The university accepts English proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. In addition to all these English proficiency tests, the University of Chester also accepts country-specific in-country English language qualifications for entry to courses. Yes, international students going for full-time degree courses are allowed to do part-time work while studying. However, an international student is allowed only a maximum of 20 hours per week for paid/unpaid work for those studying at a degree level or more. Full-time work is allowed but only during vacations. Self-employment, freelance and contract work are not permitted.
