The University of Southampton processes applications submitted by candidates in two to six weeks. Because of the huge number received at that time, applications submitted in January, particularly close the UCAS equal consideration deadline, may take significantly longer to process.

You will be invited to an Applicant Visit Day either after you apply or if you are granted an offer to study, depending on your degree and the time of year you apply. You may be needed to attend an interview for some topics. If this is the case, the faculty will contact you personally. If you are made an offer, you will have to accept it.

If a candidate's application is accepted, an offer letter will be sent to them that will contain conditions (if any) they need to meet for getting enrolled, course fee, and commencement date details. If the offer is conditional, it would imply that the applicant hasn’t met the university’s academic, English language or other criteria. Details regarding how to satisfy these conditions will be explained by Swansea University. An unconditional offer means that all the requirements have been met.
