According to an unofficial credible source Business from Imperial College London saw the lowest acceptance rate in 2024 of just 7.4%. This was followed by Computing (16%) and Mathematics (16.6%). The course with the highest ICL acceptance rate was Biology (36%)

ICL classifies universities like BHU, DU, JNU etc. as Tier 1 institutes (check official university website for full list) and states the following score equivalence as per the requirement for your course of choice:

To prove one's English language skills students will  have to submit the following scores for admission to ICL mentioned below-

  • DET- 115-125 overall
  • IELTS Academic- 6.5-7.0 overall
  • PTE- 62-69 overall
  • TOEFL iBT- 92-100 overall

Students with potential visible in their UCAS applications will be offered a virtual interview or in person interview between Nov-Feb for Imperial College London admissions. The department of your course of choice will reach out directly and the university will use the email provided on the UCAS application for the invitation so be on your toes for the same

For ICLadmissions students need to submit a personal statement for 2026 entry so ensure you include details on why you want to choose this course, how your qualifications/studies prepared you for the said course and what co curricular participation has helped you prepare/why you consider the same valuable.

With only 13% acceptance rate, the University of Birmingham is tough to enter. Students should fulfill the qualification by having a UG degree for PG program, and proof of high school for UG programs.

They should submit transcripts, references, sample work, job proof, English language requirements and more.

The University of Birmingham allows students to apply for UG programs through UCAS, and PG students can apply through the university portal. The application deadline for UCAS is closed, students can still apply via UCAS extra which is available till Feb 26, 2026. The deadline for most PG programs is Jul 3, 2026.
