If you are applying from outside the UK,  or if English is not your first language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following recognised English Language qualifications:

  • Academic IELTS with at least 7.0 overall, and a minimum of 7.0 in each element of the test, or
  • Pearson PTE Academic with at least 70 overall, and a minimum of 70 in each element of the test

Most academic departments ask for IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent for UG degrees and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for PG degrees at Swansea University, but there are exceptions and you should always check individual entry requirements on our course pages or check conditions included in offer letter.

The London South Bank University has set standard eligibility requirements for international students based on their performance and academic excellence. Indian students require a minimum of 55-65% in Standard XII for admission to this university. Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of admission. For PG programmes, applicants should have a bachelor's degree equivalent to that of UK UG degree. Course-specific requirements can be found on the respective webpages on the university website. LSBU is quite selective in its review process, and has an acceptance rate about 17% only. Indian students applying to LSBU should have a strong academic profile.

For admission to the UG courses, Indian students must have passed Class 12 with 55% - 65%. Whereas for admission to PG courses of LSBU, students should have a Bachelor's degree with 53% - 55% or higher.

International UG students are required to maintain min GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. They are required to demonstrate English proficiency.

  • Group A students require 75% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 75% West Bengal or 80% Other State board
  • Group B students require 80% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 75% West Bengal or 85% Other State board
  • Group C students require 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State board
  • Group D students require 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State board.
