Northwestern Michigan College is an open admissions policy institution. Open admission colleges typically have minimal admission thresholds, admitting all applicants provided they meet certain minimum requirements. Applicants must have a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent. A GPA of a minimum 2.0 is recommended. SAT/ACT scores are not required, but if submitted, then they may be considered, and international students are required to have English proficiency test scores.
