Housing varies depending on where the student decides to stay. If they want to live in the dorms on campus, the cost would go around $8000-10000 (including food and housing) for one year. Off campus is also around the same price but for off campus apartments, usually the apartments closer to campus tend to be more expensive than the ones further from campus. Shared apartments/apartments with roommates are also usually cheaper than single apartments and this applies for both- on and off campus.

Yes, it is easy for students to find part-time jobs at Iowa State University. There is a student job board on the university portal and students can find various part-time jobs there according to different college, location, summer/semester jobs, or according to different categories such as IT, dining, etc.

Yes, Iowa State is a good university for international students. It offers a welcoming environment, support services, and a diverse campus community. There are a lot of fellow international students and various clubs on campus for students to get involved. There are also different services and events happening for international students through the clubs or the International Student and Scholars Office (ISSO at Iowa State). ISU offers scholarships for these incoming international freshmen too.

MTSU international students having F1 status can work for 20 hours per week while the university is in session. This includes work undertaken in connection with a scholarship, assistantship or fellowship. Students may be employed full-time during summer and other vacation periods if they are eligible and intend to register for the subsequent academic term. Note that enrollment in summer sessions does not allow full-time on-campus work. Students will full graduate assistantships can contact The Graduate School and their departments regarding the department policies.
