Per (US News) National University Rankings 2025, Tarleton State ranks #371 among all ranked colleges & universities in the country.
The institute has seen a decline when it comes to its national rankings, having previously attained rank #299 in the years 2023 & 2024 respectively.
Further some of its courses are also ranked US-wide by Shiksha, with its BBA course ranking #394 & Nursing courses ranking #203 in the United States.

The University of Texas at Austin, is ranked the #1 university in Texas. The institute ranks #20 as part of the country–level university rankings rolled out by Shiksha, while also securing a global rank #55, per the latest Shiksha rankings.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings ranks it #66 as part of its World University Rankings 2025.

Yes, Tarleton State is free to apply for students who satisfy one of the below listed fee waiver criteria (only for freshman year students):
· A document from previous institute's student success or TRIO department, certifying that the student participated in their course within 12 months of joining Tarleton
· Possess a waiver for SAT or ACT exam
· Document of free or reduced lunch at high school
· A document issued by the high school counsellor or school authority detailing the applicant's financial situation

Tarleton state charges application fee of USD 50 (INR 4.3 K) from all international applicants.
Fee is non refundable and is important to be paid as part of application process, unless one possesses fee waiver.
It is not possible to submit the application without the payment of the said fee, & international students are advised to do the same & submit their application as early as possible to allow time for document processing.

According to unofficial source, there is minimum GPA which is needed for admission to Tarleton State University is about 3.2.
Students are also required to show English language proof by giving scores of some popular language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, etc.

The GRE test score is required for admissions to (some) graduate courses at Tarleton.
The GRE test score requirements vary with different courses, & as a result students are advised to refer either: Tarleton State University Courses page or visit the official website.
MAT & GMAT are some other entrance test scores deemed acceptable for admissions by Tarleton State University.

Tarleton State is very much affordable for Indian students looking to pursue higher studies abroad.
The estimated tuition fee for undergraduate & postgraduate degree courses ranges between INR 15 L-INR 17 L.
Further, the estimated annual cost of living as part of student accommodation facilities is around INR 10 L, this includes the cost of medical insurance & transportation.
