The university is ranked #818 in the world and #264 in the USA by Shiksha Popularity Ranking and #1401+ by 'QS Ranking'. Meanwhile Wright State University is ranked #396 in the USA and #862 globally by Shiksha Popularity Ranking and #1501+ by 'QS Ranking' . This means Indiana State University is a better choice for international students.

Indiana State University is ranked #818 in the world and #264 in USA by Shiksha Popularity Ranking. The university is also ranked by one of the most reputed ranking organisation 'QS Ranking' at #1401 in the world. In 2024, QS Ranking ranked the university at #1201-1400 which is possible due to change in factors.

Purdue University is a public university based in the USA having five campuses. The main campus of PU is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. This school does not accept ACT or SAT scores for general admission or merit scholarships. The NIU acceptance rate stands at 71% making it a modertely easy university ti get into. The students are required to meet certain NIU admission requirements.
NIU follows a moderately stringent selection procedure to select candidates for their UG and PG programs. For UG programs, students must hold a high school Diploma degree, and for PG programs, students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised organisation to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria. Northern Illinois University is considered a good university and there are two intakes in a year namely: Fall and Spring. After making a successful application at this university, it takes them two to three weeks for upadating an application decision to the students.

Yes, international students are not required to pay any tuition fee to apply at Nothern Illinois University at UG level, however students are required to pay an NIU application fee of USD 60 (INR 5.1 K).
