The Virginia Tech University acceptance rate of 57%, makes it one of the more selective higher education institutes in the region. However, Purdue, itself has an acceptance rate, of around 53%, making Virginia Tech, though only marginallly, but relatively easier to secure admissions at.

Prospective students must perform really well in respective school & college level academics, maintain a solid CV that demonstrates their non-academic abilities & submit respective applications on time to have the best possible chance of admission at either institute.
