With the minimum eligibility criteria already prescribed for GPA academic records and official transcripts English language proficiency proof is required with the help of tests like IELTS or TOEFL or PTE or Duolingo along with some other educational documents.

As per the official website of the University of Houston, international students are required to have an equivalent GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. These students are also expected to demonstrate a level of English language proficiency, for which the minimum score requirements are mentioned below:
