The official newspaper of UH is known as The Cougar. It is a student-run newspaper and has been established in 1934. The newspaper is one of the university's the oldest traditions. The Daily Cougar prints every Wednesday during the Spring and Fall semesters and online daily. Additionally, students produce Houstonian magazine (for graduating students), Cooglife (a monthly lifestyle magazine), and Transitions Magazine (student's insider guide at UH).
