Central Michigan University ranks for excellence in the Top 10% of all 4-year colleges and universities in the United States, as per a top-ranking publisher in the 2025 Best Colleges rankings. For CMU Centralis Scholarship, students are required to apply to the university directly or via Common App. To be eligible for this scholarship, students are required to meet the minimum high school GPA of 3.7 or above. The scholarship amount available is USD 5,000 (Around INR 4.3 L). Two awards under this scholarship are Centralis Scholars Award and Centralis Gold Award.

International students are automatically considered for these merit scholarships when students apply to CMU. There is no separate application and no essay. If students apply to this university, students are going to receive the highest scholarship for which they qualify:
