1s year students from India are advised to stay on-campus at Illinois Tech USA. This will help them get used to surroundings, build networks, and have better access to on-campus services.

After 1st year, students can look to move out. Off-campus housing allows students more freedom to go out which is important in the later year of studies to get part-time jobs in the US, internships, or ful-time work. Living off-campus may also be more affordable paricularly for students living in shared housing.

NEU Boston does not offer full-ride scholarships to Indian students.  However, it does offer merit-based scholarships that covers tuition costs up to USD 28,000 (INR 27 Lakhs) per year at the UG level.

Indian students can still apply for external full-ride USA scholarships to cover their full tuition costs at the NEU Boston.
