USC California is slightly expensive for international students as the first-year cost of some courses is above INR 50 L. However, there are some University of Southern California courses that are available for below INR 35 L for first-year. Application process at East Los Angeles College-

Applicants have to apply online via the college official website. 

Supplemental documents can be submitted via email, mail or in-person.

Required documents-

  1. Passport copy
  2. Proof of English proficiency 
  3. Financial Affidavit form
  4. Confidential Financial Statement showing a minimum balance of U.S. $24,000.
  5. Copy of current visa.
  6. All current and previous status documents (I-20, DS-2019, etc.) 
  7. Unofficial transcripts from all previous US colleges, universities, and high school.  
  8. Personal Statement explaining educational goal or reason to continue your education.

Yes, Swarthmore College is good for International students. There are more than 140 students from 51 different countries. Presence of International students makes college more collaborative having culturally rich community. students from various backgrounds, faculty and staff contribute to inclusive community. A strong sense of open dialogue and engagement is a source of encouragement. Swarthmore's many centers and offices support this critical mission through events and campuswide programs, initiatives, and policies that address all members and aspects of the community. This makes the college good for the International students.

In order to secure an enrollment, overseas applicants must fulfill the University of California Santa Cruz admission requirements listed below:

1) Undergraduate Requirements:

  • High school or secondary school certificate;
  • Proof of English language proficiency; and

Candidates must not show any laxity and excel academically, along with meeting all the UC Santa Cruz admission requirements for international students in order to secure an enrollment. Additionally, fulfilling the required grade point average is one of the major entry requirement at UC Santa Cruz and international students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 - 3.5 or higher in order to boost their chances of getting admitted in the university. Other best practices include submission of high English language proficiency scores and staying active in the world outside classrooms.
