The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. IIT Roorkee cutoff 2025 has been announced for admission across multiple specialisations for the Round 4 seat allotment results based on opening and closing ranks. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank range at 41 and closing rank is 229. Admission to MSc specialisations at IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam IIT Jam, which should be between 41 and 229, scoring a rank of 400 in IIT Jam in not sufficient to get admission to the institute.
