The cut-off list for DIT University shall be published once the entrance exams get over; for the next session July 2024. However, in general, the university informs about the cut-off scores of the specific entrance exams through JEE Main, CAT, and more for students seeking admissions to courses as a result of the respective entrance exams. Suppose, for an MBA course. It may seek a 70 percent cutoff in the CAT. Candidates often go to the university's main website for specific dates and details regarding the cut-off list and the admissions procedure.

Generally, DIT University is categorized in Tier 2 rankings. Even its rankings such as NIRF 2024 Engineering ranking it within #201-300 do talk of a fair stature and stand nowhere close to the pinnacle when compared to premier institutes. Besides, it ranks as #12 amongst the private technical universities based on Outlook 2024 rankings. While it has a very high level of education and has been observed to be very successful, it is still far from the top tier of universities, known as Tier 1, which often ranks higher in national rankings and has more resources and recognition in both the academic and industrial worlds.
