Candidates are first required to apply for the preferred programme in online or offline mode. Haridwar University shortlists candidates for most of the programmes based on HUAET scores. The university also accepts CUET scores for UG programmes. Besides, the university also accepts JEE Main and GATE scores for BTech and MTech programmes, respectively. Haridwar University provides scholarships based on the merit of the candidates. Below are details for Haridwar University Merit-Based Scholarships:

• Students securing more than 60% marks in diploma/ BSc shall be eligible for scholarship worth 40% on BTech/ BPharm (LE) tuition fee. 
• Scholarship through AICTE for GATE-2024 qualified for MTech.

For BTech/ BPharm/ BSc/ (BCA/ BBA/ BCom/ BA/ MBA/ MCA/ MSc/ MTech

Candidates need to complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognised board to apply for Haridwar University BTech (Hons) programme. BTech is a four-year programme divided into eight semesters. Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main, HUAET or CUET rank and eligibility criteria set by the university. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.

MTech is a two-year programme offered at Haridwar University in various specialisations. Candidates who have completed bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field can apply for any of the M.Tech specialisations. Check the specialisations below:

Haridwar University admission to MTech course is based on HUAET or GATE scores. Aspirants must also pass a bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field to apply for MTech course. Shortlisted aspirants need to pay the course fee and submit the documents to confirm their admission. 

Haridwar University admission to BTech (Hons) is based on  JEE Main score. Additionally, candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate can apply for the BTech (Hons) course. As soon as the selection rounds are over, aspirants are required to submit the specified documents for verification and pay a fee to confirm their seat. 

The total fee for BTech (Hons) ranges between INR 4.57 Lacs and INR 4.97 lakh. The fee includes annual fee for each year.  The total fee excludes a tuition fee of INR 62,000. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled.
