The mode of UPES School of Design course admission is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are  CUET,  NIFT Entrance Exam, JEE Main, NID Entrance Exam,  UCEED,  UPES DAT, and others. If applying through NID, candidates must know the NID exam pattern and solve as many NID question papers as possible.

There are various other entrance exams accepted by the UPES School of Design which are  CUET,  NIFT Entrance Exam,  NID Entrance Exam,  UCEED,  UPES DAT, and others. Students can take admission through these entrance exams but if a student is applying through JEE Main, a valid score in JEE Main is necessary.

UPES School Of Design arranges creativity workshops and provides various opportunities that form a part of the learning experience. Also, BDes students receive placements in top companies.

UPES School of Design flagship programmes are BDes and MDes. BDes is offered in seven specialisations. BDes students can opt for career opportunities such as Textile Designers, Teachers, Outside Sale Representatives, Graphic Designers, Design Managers, Costume Designers, Fashion Stylists, Fashion Forecasters, and others.
