You can choose IMI-K over Alliance School of Management because of the brand name of IMI-K and the placement performance over the years. IMI-K has a good campus with high quality teachers that believe in high interaction to build a student's career to its best. IMI-K is far better off as compared to Alliance School of Management when it comes to Marketing domain and a slight advantage in rest other domains in terms of placements.

Yes, IMI Kolkata is a good college with beautiful campus and decent placements over the years. Personality development is something that makes it a special college. Classroom interactions, presentations and related activities helps in building a student's career and the various activities conducted by different clubs are quite engaging and skill building.

If you have confident you can fo better. Then you can wait. But if you haven't enough confidence or you have confident but now you can't give the same effort or time on study. Then you should apply for WBJEE counseling. But some of my experiences said that it's very hard for a person after 10+2 exam to give same effort on study as he/she gave previous. And due to corona everyone faced problem. So now this is depends on you. If you heart say 'Yes I can do' then wait otherwise WBJEE Isn't a bad option.

As per previous years statistics you will get admission in ME brunch. But if you belong from OBC, SC/ST then you will get chance to admit in other brunches also.

If your general rank is 1599. Then you must have gotten admission. But if your OBC rank is 1599 then it is very difficult to admit in kalyani.

This is due to better infrastructure and faculties of heritage, which resulted into better results in nirf ranking. When you analyse the placement scenario, you will find both the colleges at the same position.
Now coming to your rank in wbjee, you have secured a very good rank so i will suggest you to go for jadavpur university and prepare for IT companies as well during your b tech. I would like to assure you that you will get much more better opportunities in jadavpur university than any colleges of wbut.
