Candidates must qualify in WBJEE/JEE Main entrance examinations for enrollment in B.E. / B.Tech programs at Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management (DIATM). A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students should apply for counseling along with seat allotment and document verification after securing the rank for final admission.

WBJEE DIATM cutoff varies by course and category. For the third round, closing ranks in the range of 55,447 to 85,763. B.Tech in Electrical Engineering has topped up the list and by this, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was a relatively lower cutoff, so the admission became easier through this route for the students. For the admission in B.E./B.Tech, candidates appearing in the Higher Secondary or 10+2 examination with 45% marks in Science stream comprising Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are eligible for admission at Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management (DIATM). Admissions are strictly on merit and West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination vacancies account for 90% in total. Furthermore, up to 10% of seats can be reserved based on scores in the JEE Main. In addition, Diploma holders may also gain lateral entry by appearing in the JELET examination.
