Vidyasagar University's MA selection process is inclusive of the candidate's last qualifying exam. As per the university's admission guidelines, students must have years of Bachelor's Degree with 50% aggregate the respective subjects from a recognised university. To participate in the selection process candidates must fill out the online application form.

Vidyasagar University (Home University and autonomous College (s) affiliated to Vidyasagar University)offers seat reservation as per the latest order of the Govt. of West Bengal. The MA seats are reserved for the SC and ST students. As per the reservation policy 22% of seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 6% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates in educational institutions.

Vidyasagar University MA admission is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam, i.e., Bachelor's Degree with 50% aggregate the respective subjects from a recognised university. To secure MA admission candidates must first register on the official website of the university followed by the application porcess. Further, students are shortlisted  based on merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Vidyasagar University. Shortlisted candidates are required to pay the final MA fee to finalise their admission at the university.

The postgraduate-level course is available in two-years course across ten specialisations including Santali, Philosophy,  Sociology, Political Science,  Sanskrit, English, etc. The m course is provided via its affiliated colleges and campuses. Admission to the MA course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam.

Vidyasagar University MA admission is merit-based. For admission to the MA course, students need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., Bachelor's degree with the respective subjects from a recognised university
