The MSc seats at IIEST Shibpur are provided at the institute through Centralised Counselling under the IIT JAM score of students. The total number of MSc seats offered by the institute is 125 in various specialisations. The seat allotment will be merit-based, according to which category-specific reservations like PWD, SC, ST, etc., will be considered. Candidates are required to undergo the counselling process that the CCMN provides, including online choice filling, verification of documents, and seat allotment rounds. It is confirmed and finalised when they report physically to the institute and pay their fees.

OmDayal Group of Institutions is generally considered a good choice for engineering and management studies. They offer various courses and have decent infrastructure and faculty. The institution often emphasizes practical knowledge and industry exposure, which can be beneficial for students.

However, the quality of education can vary based on the specific programme and department. It's a good idea to look at student reviews, placement records, and faculty qualifications to get a better understanding of its reputation in your field of interest.

The ranking in JEE Main with 12,000 may be out of competition with top colleges in IIT and NIT in CSE department, which happens when the ranking in the entrance test goes highly competitive for seats in that stream. Generally, for most of the IITs, CSE seats can be acquired from closing rank with 2,000-4,000 ranks for general candidates. At new NIT or other government college levels, getting CSE seats will also be achievable in the same range of rank like 12,000.

Official cut-offs of the specific institutions and branches you're interested in must be checked.
