The admission requirement for Rabindra Bharati University, M.A. in Sociology is rather standard and normally require the students who want to be admitted for the program to score a minimum of 50% in Undergraduate degree in Sociology or any other related field. De Paul Institute of Science and Technology (DiST) is not 100% sure shot for placement, but it has an excellent record. 70-80 percent of students are placed in some of the reputed companies. The top recruiters are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. The average package ranges from INR 3 to 10 Lacs per annum, though some of the students can manage more. The placement cell actively arranges trainings, mock interviews, and industry interactions so that students are better employed. As a whole, placements at DiST are good, though not guaranteed to each one of the students.
