Additionally, candidates must have qualify their higher senior secondary from the Science stream. The entrance examination that the university accepts for entering into a BTech course is BET (Brainware Eligibility Test). If candidates secure valid scores in the entrance exam they are eligible for admission to the BTech course. 

The selection process for MBBS at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Manipal is based on merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG, followed by counseling. Eligibility. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, with a minimum aggregate of 50% and English as individual subjects. KMC Manipal does not offer direct admission. Candidates must appear for the NEET exam and undergo counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
