No, direct admission is not valid for MBA at BIBS Kolkata. Candidates are selected only via the entrance exams, which are either conducted at the institute or national-level. Candidates must pass graduation to apply for this course. The final admission is given based on entrance exam scores, past academic records and performance of candidates in PI round. 

As per the admisison process given on the official website of BIBS Kolkata for MBA, candidates have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place before applying for the course. The minimum eligibility criteria is to pass graduation in the relevant field from a recognised university. Next, candidates have to submit the scores of any one of the entrance exam of either CAT, XAT or MAT. Else, aspirants can also qualify for BIBSAT conducted at the institute level. To get admission to BIBS Kolkata, candidates have to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria for the desired course.
