No, direct admission is not valid for MBA at BIBS Kolkata. Candidates are selected only via the entrance exams, which are either conducted at the institute or national-level. Candidates must pass graduation to apply for this course. The final admission is given based on entrance exam scores, past academic records and performance of candidates in PI round.

As per the admisison process given on the official website of BIBS Kolkata for MBA, candidates have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place before applying for the course. The minimum eligibility criteria is to pass graduation in the relevant field from a recognised university. Next, candidates have to submit the scores of any one of the entrance exam of either CAT, XAT or MAT. Else, aspirants can also qualify for BIBSAT conducted at the institute level. The institute also conducts PI round for the final selection.

To get admission to BIBS Kolkata, candidates have to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria for the desired course. Next, candidates have to fulfil the application form once the application window gets open. The application process is conducted in both online and offline modes. BIBS Kolkata admission process is entirely entrance-based for its Management courses. Candidates are selected based on scores of either national-level entrance exam or in-house exam of BIBS Kolkata. The shortlisted candidates will also have to appear for a PI round at the institute's campus.

The college has released the NIRF report 2023 which incorporates the median package details for UG and PG courses. For MBBS, the median package increased from INR 9.40 LPA in 2020 to INR 9.60 LPA in 2021. Alongside this, the median package for PG (3-year) courses increased from 2020 to 2022.
