Candidates should have a graduation degree in life sciences or physical sciences (hons. or equivalent). Candidates who have done BTech in Biotechnology can also apply for the same programme. Candidates who meet the eligibility can directly apply to the institute’s website.

Candidates who wants to pursue BMLT from IGE have to pay INR 2.5 Lacs as course fee + additional university examination charges. Course fees for BSc Medical Imaging Technology and BSc in Genetics is also INR 2.5 Lakh. Students pursuing BSc in Media Science at IGE, BSc in Microbiology and BBA in Hotel Management have to pay the course fee of INR 2.1 Lakh. Course fees for MSc in Genetics and MSc in Biotechnology is INR 1.9 Lacs and for MSc in Microbiology fees is INR 2.1 Lakh.

IGE campus does not have a hostel facility for both male and female students. However, there is one hostel for female students which is very near to the campus. The hostel facility is under construction at IGE and will be functional soon.

Institute of Genetic Engineering is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and degree for the courses offered is also awarded by same. MAKAUT is a UGC-approved university, thus degree courses at IGE are also valid nationally and internationally both.

Yes, IGE is a well-known institute. The institute is accredited by NAAC. The institute was established in 2003 and has successfully completed 20 years of smooth running this year. The institute offers 10 UG and 3 PG-level courses. Courses at IGE are offered with minimal fees which makes studying here affordable.

For the final admission to a UG course of BMLT, students are required to pay the fee at the time of admission. The total fee for a three-year BMLT course at JIS University is INR 2.46 lakh. This fee is applicable for all three years of the course and contains other components that students need to pay at the time of admission. This course fee is calculated based on the semester-wise fee break up for the BMLT given in a fee notification on the official website for the year 2021-22. There is an application fee that needs to be paid at the time of filling the application form.

 JIS University offers a three-year UG-level course of BMLT in the field of Pharmacy. For admission to BMLT at JIS University, students are required to pass Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Mathematics as the main subjects. For reserved category candidates, there is a relaxation of 5%, they need to get a minimum of 45% aggregate in the same subjects. It's mandatory for candidates to fulfil this eligibility before applying for the course.

The admission process for BMLT at JIS University is inclusive of fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria and qualifying for the respective entrance exam. Candidates who are willing to get admission to this course must pass Class with 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved categories) in the respective subjects.
