There are plenty of professional courses available for you to choose from. For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do B.Com followed by M.Com and then maybe Ph.D. or to become a professor. There's also an option to go for CA CS CMA and at times LL.B. Then there are other course too like CFA actuary, FRM etc. With B.Com you can, in the time being, go for various certification courses conducted by many institutions across the country. If you want to go for MBA, you can start preparing for CAT. You can also enhance your skills by learning computer or English language to make yourself market ready. Eligibility criteria to pursue B.Arch course from School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University:
1) Candidate should have cleared class 12 exams, with mathematics as one of the core subject.
2) Should have a qualifying score in the NATA entrance exams.
Other eligibility criteria:
Candidates having 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govts with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics or international baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing after 10 years of Schooling with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply.

The scope of Commerce is very wide.
1) Actuarial Science
It is an upcoming field with extremely lucrative job opportunities. It deals with risk analysis and predictions that could affect the business. It is tough in terms of academic load. Yet, if you are interested in statistics and numbers you can go for it. You are required to clear the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET). After clearing your entrance, you can register at the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). There are 15 exams in total conducted by the IAI, however, you can start working as an actuary after clearing only 4-5 exams. The most beneficial graduation streams for this career include Maths, Statistics, and B.Com.
2. Chartered Accountancy (C. A)
Chartered Accountancy is one of the internationally accepted professional courses. You can work in streams such as auditing, tax consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, corporate finance, investment banking, etc. You can find lucrative jobs in both government and private sectors. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts exams, which are accepted internationally. After your 12th standard, you need to go through the following steps to become a Chartered Accountant:
Step 1: Register yourself with the ICAI, and clear the Competency Professional Test (CPT). Step 2: Clear the Integrated Professional Competence (IPC) Course Exam in one or both groups. Step 3: Undergo articleship for 3 years under a practicing CA or a CA firm. Step 4: After or during the completion of your articleship, clear the CA Final to gain your CA certification.
3. Company secretary
Company secretaries take care of the efficient administration of the business. They advise on company laws and takes care of all other legal decisions. It is a professional course dealt with by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). There are three stages in the CS Course Foundation programme, Executive programme, and Professional programme. After passing the executive programme, you have to undergo 15 months of practical training. On completion of the programme and its requisites, you will join as an Associate Member of the ICSI and will be given the designation of Associate Company Secretary (ACS). There are so many other fields where you can find opportunities such as Banking, Accounting, Stockbroking, Economics, Statistics, etc.
