No! You don't have to appear CAT exam for getting admission in SRCC (either UG or PG). However, if you score very good marks in CAT then it would be additional advantage to you. Work experience is preffered. You have to face GD-PI process. What other skills/training you need is depends upon in which subject you are willing to take admission and from which subject you are. Having relevant skills will definitely help you in resume screening.

There are plenty of professional courses available for you to choose from. For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do B.Com followed by M.Com and then maybe Ph.D. or to become a professor. There's also an option to go for CA CS CMA and at times LL.B. Then there are other course too like CFA actuary, FRM etc. With B.Com you can, in the time being, go for various certification courses conducted by many institutions across the country. If you want to go for MBA, you can start preparing for CAT. You can also enhance your skills by learning computer or English language to make yourself market ready. These can be done in addit

1) Candidate should have cleared class 12 exams, with mathematics as one of the core subject.
2) Should have a qualifying score in the NATA entrance exams.
Other eligibility criteria:
Candidates having 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govts with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics or international baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing after 10 years of Schooling with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply.
