Pursuing an interior designing course after Class 12th with Commerce can be a great career choice. There are no specific restrictions that prevent commerce students from pursuing this field. To be eligible for admission to the designing programme at LPU, you need to meet certain criteria. Firstly, you must have completed your class 12th education from a recognised board or university. 

LPU is leading in all the major fields and has become one of the finest universities for interior design. The universities offers these two programs are B.Sc. (Design - Interior and Furniture), B.Design (Interior and Furniture). The programme focuses on building analtical abilities through inputs on design research methodologies and a dissertation, in addition to laying strong conceptual foundations and rigorous studio work for interior and furniture design. Further, the programme provides a choice of interdisciplinary minor areas of specialisation and opportunities to connect with industry through visits and internships to broaden the horizon of design thinking and professional work options. The LPU Design Discipline provides its students with state-of-the-art labs and technology to imitate the industry environment and provide them hands-on exposure to fashion. LPU is known as one of the best design institutions in India and Punjab.

SCAC Pune was established in 1983 and is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University. It is ranked 22 for Humanities & Social Sciences by India Today 2021. The college offers UG, PG, and Diploma courses to students across various streams of Arts and Commerce. The college is accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC and is approved by UGC. It has a good placement record where in 218 students placed across UG and PG courses. The highest package and average package offered to PG students were INR 8.05 LPA and INR 7.30 LPA, respectively. 

While on the other hand DTU was established in 1941. The university is accredited by the NAAC with an 'A' grade and is also approved by the University Grant Commission. It is ranked 35 for ‘Engineering’, 38 for ‘University’ and 63 for ‘Overall’ category by the NIRF Rankings 2022. DTU is counted amongst the oldest Engineering colleges in India. It currently offers more than 80 courses via its 17 departments and holds a good placement record as well where in  a total of 1,635 offers and 1,499 students were placed.

SCAC was established in 1983 in Pune. The college offers 3 year programs in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts and a 2 year programme in Master of Commerce, in addition to Diploma and Certificate courses in Liberal Arts. It also offers ‘Degree with Honours’ Programmes for the B.A. /B.Com. students. Admission to all the courses are made on the basis of merit achieved in the qualifying examination.
