At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology:
- Main campus = better faculty, exposure, peer group
- Stronger placement opportunities
- More companies + better overall environment
Dera Bassi campus is newer, so:
- Fewer opportunities comparatively
- Placements are okay but not at Patiala level

No doubt, MNIT-Jaipur has a name and most of the students prefer to go for that, but Thapar Institute is also not a bad choice. CSE programme in comparatively has the best placement record till yet at Thapar Institute and the package is also quite good. So don't stress yourself much, you can go for
